CONDITIONS
- Rates are NET and expressed in US Dollars (USD).
- Any change in the date, time, and location of pick-up/drop-off may vary the final price.
- Insurance is mandatory.
- Includes: pick-up and drop-off at our headquarters in Villa Chorrillos, between 230 and 250 km of free daily mileage depending on the model, IGV, and an excess mileage surcharge of $0.60 per km. Support in joint route design, camping recommendations, and 24/7 contact.
- The vehicle will be delivered to the customer clean and with a full fuel tank; therefore, it must be returned in the same condition.
- The quote is subject to vehicle availability.
- The reservation is confirmed with 35% of the quoted amount. The remaining 65% can be paid 7 days before the rental date.
- For SUVs, we have different brands and models of similar quality. The final brand and model will be confirmed 7 days before the start date of the trip.
- Security deposit: between $1,000 and $1,500.00 with Visa, MasterCard, or Amex cards.
- Payment Method:
- Bank transfer, credit card, payment link, or cash in USD or Peruvian Soles according to the current exchange rate.
- Minimum rental period: 4 days.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation 30 days before the RV pick-up date: no charges applied.*
- Cancellation between 15-30 days: 35% penalty.*
- Cancellation within 15 days: 100% penalty (no show).
* Bank fees are borne by the customer.
Working Hours:
- Hours: from 9 AM to 3 PM.
- Pick-up hours: from 9 AM to 3 PM.
- Drop-off hours: from 9 AM to 3 PM.
- Closed days: only Sundays.
- Holidays closed (e.g., 25.12, 29.06, 28-29.07, 08.10, 01.11, 30.08, Holy Week, and other Peruvian holidays).
- Pick-ups and drop-offs on closed days, holidays, or outside business hours are allowed with an extra charge of USD 30.00.
License and Minimum Age
A valid driver’s license from any country or an international driver’s license accompanied by a valid passport (entered Peru within 90 days) is accepted. The minimum age is 25 years.
IMPORTANT
The renter is fully responsible for any damage to the vehicle or third-party property if:
- The rental contract terms are violated.
- Damage occurs while the renter/driver violates traffic laws or regulations.
- Damage is caused by negligent, reckless, or dangerous driving.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Driving on restricted roads.
- Camping outside of recommended camping sites.
- Submersion in water or saltwater damage.
- The vehicle is driven in a country without written approval from Intorno Campers.
- Damage to the undercarriage.
- Incorrect use of differential locks and/or transfer cases, such as driving on paved roads with activated differentials.
- Flat tires and tire damage.
The renter agrees not to use the vehicle for purposes other than those intended. All damage caused by improper use will be the sole responsibility of the renter, even if the repair costs exceed the deductible. INTORNO SAC will not be responsible for any loss (delays, expenses, vehicle replacement, etc.) arising from such use.
- Repairs
Necessary repairs require evaluation and approval from Intorno Campers & Experiences for reimbursement.
- Driving RVs and SUVs
All vehicle controls are easy to use. However, it may take some time to familiarize yourself with them. Take your time to adjust the driver’s seat, mirrors, control lights, radio, etc. All our units have manual transmission. They have a cruising speed of 100 km/h.
Driving in Peru can be challenging; many drivers tend to drive aggressively, so be aware and drive defensively. We recommend driving only during daylight hours.
Motorhomes can only be driven on paved, bituminous, and publicly maintained gravel roads in Peru.
Always consider the oversized dimensions of a camper van, especially the height with a rooftop tent: Hilux with Rooftop Tent and Campervan Explorer: 2.50 meters; Hilux Motorhome: 2.10 meters. Be mindful of vehicle height near trees, overhead wires, parking structures, etc.
Police checkpoints are common in Peru. They may request a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration card, Mandatory Traffic Accident Insurance (SOAT), and the vehicle’s Technical Inspection Certificate. You should have no issues if you present these documents.
For better vehicle understanding and safety, pre-departure instructions, user manuals, and route tips are provided. Vehicles also have GPS monitoring, and we maintain contact with camping providers and other useful services en route. Satellite tracking is available if travelers need assistance outside mobile coverage.
- Insurance
Transporting additional passengers or cargo is not allowed and will void the insurance coverage.
The renter must immediately report any accident.
The renter acknowledges responsibility for the first $1,500 for RVs and $1,000 for SUVs as deductibles (per incident/damage). They are also responsible for any parking or traffic violations. The security deposit will cover outstanding rental/insurance charges. Note: In case of vehicle rollover, the deductible is approximately $5,000.
There is no insurance coverage for accidents (damage, injury, or loss) occurring under the influence of intoxicating substances (drugs, alcohol, etc.).
All off-road driving damage to tires, shocks, the front, windshield, tanks/pipes/wiring underneath the vehicle, and other parts will be the renter’s sole responsibility. Clutch replacement or damage due to negligence is not covered by any insurance option.

ACCESORIES
• Rental rates vary depending on equipment and period, with a minimum rental period of 1-3 days.
• Home delivery or pick-up is not included; the fee will be defined based on location.
• A security deposit is required for each rental.
• Payment can be made in soles at the current exchange rate. Methods: bank transfer, Yape, or credit card.
• Equipment can be picked up or delivered one day before the start of the trip.
• Equipment can be returned or picked up one day after the trip.
• Reservations are subject to availability and full payment.
• Free cancellation up to 10 days before the start of the reservation; otherwise, the minimum rental period fee will be charged.
• Early returns will not receive a refund.
• Late returns will incur a late fee of USD 15.00 plus the rental fee for the minimum period of the item or combo.
• Cleaning fees will apply for excessively dirty equipment; the fee will be $25.00 or the minimum rental fee, whichever is lower.
• If the equipment is damaged beyond normal wear and tear, we reserve the right to charge the standard repair fee. If the equipment is damaged beyond repair, the customer will be charged the full price minus the rental fee.
• For any item not returned, we reserve the right to charge up to the full sales value, minus any rental fees already paid.
